“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhuman because it often results in physical death.”
– Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Whether you’re hiding under a rock or marching in the streets, it is more important than ever to build our community of PA physicians willing to defend public health, fundamental human rights and our democracy.
Civil Rights attorney Sherrilyn Ifill encourages us to stay connected to one another in her recent Substack article. "…our fate is inextricably linked to those who share our vision for democracy, justice and equality”. She recommends supporting a non-profit source of information or advocacy you will support. Her recs: PBS, Democracy Now, Pro Publica, Wikipedia, your local library, Black press, or your town’s alternative weekly.
Physicians for a Healthy Pennsylvania is a coalition of PA physicians speaking out together since June of 2022.
We use our collective voice and platforms to advocate for a healthy democracy and defend the fundamental human rights of our patients, our families and ourselves.
