The current actions and enforcement tactics used by ICE are both illegal and inhumane. Recent incidents, such as the deaths of ICU nurse Alex Pretti and Renee Good, demonstrate a disturbing pattern where federal agents have not only failed to provide medical aid but have actively prevented physicians from doing so. Furthermore, the use of tear gas at a school in Minneapolis and the presence of ICE in hospitals exemplifies the traumatic tactics being deployed in our communities.

A ban on agents’ access to schools, day cares, medical facilities, polling locations, and other vulnerable locations
A ban on the detention and deportation of children
An end to the use of deadly force and the detention and deportation of U.S. citizens and lawfully present immigrants
A requirement that agents remove their masks and show identification
A ban on arrests without judicial warrants
A ban on roving patrols, racial profiling, and arrest quotas
Independent inspectors and oversight of all detention facilities to ensure humane treatment of detainees.
Congress failed to extend the Enhanced Premium Tax Credits (EPTCs), which expired 12/31/25.
Congress did not renew the enhanced tax credits that help people afford health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. At the same time the prices insurers are charging are climbing.
